Invisible Aligners – A Better Way to Straighten Teeth

With traditional braces, you can’t help but notice when someone has straightened their teeth. The metal brackets and wires on the outside of the teeth make it clear that there has been some work done to straighten them out.

With invisible aligners, however, you can easily straighten your teeth without anyone knowing! They are very comfortable to wear and are nearly invisible on the outside of the teeth, so no one will know you’re even wearing them except you.

How do clear aligners work?

Clear aligners are made from a transparent poly-acrylic material. There are no metal wires, bands or brackets and so they’re almost entirely invisible.

They fit over your teeth like a mouth guard and require small amounts of pressure to move them into place. Over time, clear aligners can gradually shift teeth into a straighter position.

Orthodontists, who have been trained in all aspects of orthodontics, prescribe clear aligners instead of traditional braces because they work in similar ways but without causing pain or dealing with rough edges that make it hard for some people to eat certain foods or speak clearly.

Advantages of Clear Aligners

We know that traditional braces are unattractive and uncomfortable.

Why not get teeth straightening without even having to think about it?

Invisalign clear aligners can be placed and removed without causing any change in your daily routine or appearance—they’re completely invisible!

They’re painless, comfortable and nearly transparent. By combining advanced technology with an experienced team of doctors, we can deliver outstanding results at a great value.

How many treatments are required?

Braces usually require a series of appointments. This is because teeth straightening typically requires time for brackets and wires to adjust to your mouth and teeth. With invisible aligners, you don’t have visible metal attachments in your mouth and often only require one appointment for each set of aligners. In many cases, patients can straighten their teeth in just four months with clear aligners.

What if I don’t like my results?

Thankfully, invisible aligners are made from a custom mold of your teeth. This means that you’ll always be able to get a perfect fit for your mouth. That said, if your results aren’t satisfactory after wearing aligners for a period of time, you should visit an orthodontist in order to discuss other options.

Will I have any difficulty eating?

Aligners are transparent and do not interfere with your ability to eat or speak. You will never have any trouble taking them out when you need to eat, drink, brush your teeth, etc. We encourage our patients to wear their aligners as much as possible in order for them to work properly. It’s important that you wear them at least 22 hours a day. You can even sleep with them in!

Who can benefit from Invisalign treatment?

Braces aren’t just for kids! Adults have been lining up in droves over recent years to get their teeth straightened, and why not? Unlike traditional braces, Invisalign isn’t bulky or ugly. Patients looking for tooth straightening can benefit from Invisalign treatment if they wear a retainer at night (this is necessary with both options). The only thing that comes between you and your gorgeous smile? A series of aligners.

How long will treatment take?

There are many different types of invisible aligners, so treatment length can vary. The average invisible aligner treatment takes 18-24 months, with every two weeks being equal to one month of treatment.
